Limited Warranty
Goodyear Singapore Pte Ltd provides a limited warranty for all Goodyear branded passenger tyres and light truck tyres purchased from its authorised retailers for use in Singapore.
Register your Goodyear tyres to get the limited warranty.
Warranty Period:
5 years from the date of manufacturing or 1 year from the date of invoice whichever that expires earlier.
3 STEPS TO APPLY FOR A CLAIM OR AN ADJUSTMENT:
STEP 1 - Go back to the store of purchase and let them verify whether is the tyre claimable
STEP 2 - Contact Goodyear Customer Service Hotline

Information required:
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- Description of vehicle license plate number, make, model and year
- Description of tyres model and size
- Original invoice and warranty card
- Reasons for the claim
STEP 3 - Inspection by Goodyear Authorised Service Centre
Goodyear will arrange an appointment for you to visit a Goodyear Authorised Service Centre for a free inspection and received results of assessment.
Goodyear Authorised Service Centre will conduct a free tyre inspection and will assess the conditions of the tyre before submitting a claim on behalf of the customer.
In the event that the tyres are found to have manufacturing defects, Goodyear Singapore will at its option, provide the customer with either:
1) Free tyre replacement:
- A one to one replacement will only be extended to customers with proof of purchase (show of original invoice and warranty card is needed).
- To qualify for the free tyre replacement, the remaining tread depth must not be less than 7mm (average across the surface of the affected tyre).
- Replacement is granted for the affected tyre only.
- tyre will be replaced with a similar Goodyear tyre (same pattern and size but different date of manufacturing).
- The affected tyre must be retained by the Authorised Service Centre.
2) Cash refund:
- A cash refund will be extended to customers with proof of purchase (show of original invoice and warranty card is needed).
- The remaining tread depth must be above 1.6mm (average across the surface of the affected tyre).
- Refund is granted for the affected tyre only.
- The refund will be based on Goodyear's recommended retail price list or the original invoice price list whichever is lower.
- Customers can use the refund to offset the purchase of a new tyre from the Authorised Service Centre.
2a) 100% Cash refund:
If the store does not have a similar Goodyear tyre (same pattern and size) for replacement and the remaining tread depth of the affected tyre is above 7mm (average across the surface of the tyre), the claimer is entitled to a 100% cash refund.
- To qualify for the 100% cash refund, the remaining tread depth must be above 7mm (average across the surface of the tyre).
- Refund is granted for the affected tyre only.
- The refund will be based on Goodyear's recommended retail price list or the original invoice price list, whichever is lower.
- GST will not be refunded.
- The affected tyre must be retained by the Authorised Service Centre.
2b) Pro-rated adjustment (partial refund):
- A pro-rated adjustment with partial refund will be extended to customers with proof of purchase (show of original invoice and warranty card is needed).
- To qualify for the partial refund, the remaining tread depth must be more than 1.6mm average across the surface of the tyre.
- The remaining tread depth is between 1.6mm to 7mm. (average across the tyre surface).
- Refund is granted for the affected tyre only.
- The refund will be based on Goodyear's recommended retail price list or the original invoice price, whichever is lower.
- GST will not be refunded.
- The affected tyre must be retained by the Authorised Service Centre.
Example of calculation for the partial refund:
- Remaining usable tread depth is at 2.1mm. (average across the surface of the affected tyre)
- 2.1 mm / 8mm = 26%
- Goodyear's recommended retail price list indicates that the selling price of the tyre is at $100 or the price listed on the original invoice states that it is $100.
- Customer will only receive a partial refund of $100 x 26% = $26.
- The refund can be used to offset the purchase of new tyre/tyres from the Authorised Service Centre.
What is not covered by this limited warranty?
This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or irregular wear and tear caused by or arising from:
- Accident including puncture, cut, impact break, bruise, bulge etc.
- Improper use or operation, including, without limitation: Improper use such as racing, overloading, improper inflation pressure, fitting not according to the specification of the car or wheels manufacturer, misapplication, negligence, and alterations to the tyre.
- Insufficient or improper maintenance, including, without limitation: Failure to rotate tyres regularly, wheel misalignment, worn suspension components, improper tyre mounting or demounting, tyre/wheel assembly imbalance, or other vehicle conditions, defects, or characteristics.
- Contamination or degradation by petroleum products or other chemicals, fire or water.
- Improper repair. Improper repair voids this Limited Warranty.
- If the tyre has less than 1.6mm tread depth, this limited warranty will no longer apply.
- The affected tyre must be retained by Goodyear's authorised service workshop.
- The GST paid is not covered under this Limited Warranty.
